Overview
The Sales Executive IoT Solutions is responsible for driving revenue growth through the sale of IoT-based smart solutions across both public and private sector customers. The role focuses on engaging prospects in areas such as telematics, asset tracking, smart utility metering, monitoring solutions, serving industries including government, mining, logistics, utilities, energy, and agribusiness.
The Sales Executive will work closely with the Product Business Manager, IoT Solutions Architects, and Deployment Engineers to manage the full sales cycle—from opportunity identification and qualification to solution presentation, deal closure, and handover for deployment—ensuring commercially sound and technically feasible deals.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Revenue Generation
- Identify, prospect, and qualify new IoT Smart Solutions opportunities
- Sell IoT solutions including smart meters, telematics, asset tracking, and monitoring systems
- Achieve assigned quarterly and annual sales targets
- Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline with adequate coverage
Customer Engagement & Solution Selling
- Engage customers to understand operational and business challenges
- Conduct discovery sessions across public and private sector accounts
- Present IoT solutions in collaboration with Solutions Architects
- Support site surveys, demonstrations, pilots, and proof-of-concepts
Opportunity & Account Management
- Manage opportunities from lead qualification through contract closure
- Coordinate proposal development, pricing discussions, and negotiations
- Maintain accurate opportunity, forecast, and customer data in the CRM system
- Support onboarding handover to deployment and support teams
Collaboration & Internal Coordination
- Work closely with the Product Business Manager on opportunity strategy and prioritization
- Coordinate with technical, deployment, and support teams to ensure solution viability
- Provide market, competitor, and customer feedback to support product improvement
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Quarterly Revenue achievement vs target
- Number and value of new customers acquired
- Sales Pipeline size and conversion rate
- Sales cycle length or duration
- Contribution to recurring revenue (platform, SLA, support) and retention
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in business, ICT, Marketing, or a related field
- 2–5 years’ experience in B2B solution sales, preferably in IOT, Telecommunications or technology solutions
- Proven experience selling to enterprise, industrial, or institutional customers
- Experience working with long-cycle or consultative sales processes is an advantage
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Familiarity with IOT solutions and telecommunications is an advantage

- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and working with ERP
